Kèr Ststohíh (Ststo /hɪ̞/ [fight] [film projector]) is a subtropical Town located in the Altodålph Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Kèr Ststohíh is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Ststohíh was founded by Emdir Ab Owen, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Ststohíh has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Kèr Ststohíh receives an average of 221 cm/y (87 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Kèr Ststohíh covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 5146 m (16883 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kèr Ststohíh was founded durring the late 15th century in summer of the year 1363, by Emdir Ab Owen. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Emdir Ab Owen.

Kèr Ststohíh was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Ststohíh is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Kèr Ststohíh is buildings are arranged arround a network of premissive paverstone streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town sits behind an impressive looking clay brick wall. The wall is notable for querried stone blocks being used to renforce the clay bricks in the expected manner and locations. While the wall was built to the exact specifications of modern fortifications, one has to wonder why the money invested into creating such a well fortified wall wasnt spent on a less impressive looking wall crated from sturdier materials. Kèr Ststohíh's walls would endure a brief bombardment, but only from light siege weapons. It seems more likly the town's walls were not designed with defence in mind but rather lending the town a certain air with visitors. The town's boondoggle-of-a-fortified wall are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the town's defences.

Kèr Ststohíh is a bustling hive of activity. Everyone moves at nothing short of a jog, each convocation is a mile a minute, and there’s dedicated lanes for riding through town in the center of each street. The locals all appear to be not merely occupied, but in a true hurry for everything from drinking a pint of ale to their daily work.

Kèr Ststohíh has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

While Kèr Ststohíh might ostensibly be ruled by some other power, real control lies with the senior members of the local craft and labor guilds. Their decisions have the practical weight of law, and much of their time and effort is spent squeezing out competitors and parceling out economic opportunities in the community. Some guilds might have little or nothing to do with their original trade, and now exist purely as shells for political influence.

Kèr Ststohíh's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.

Due to the actions of local Kami, autumn is short in Kèr Ststohíh.

The Lich Newt near Kèr Ststohíh are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Kèr Ststohíh's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves square dance to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 3 via recitation of poetic epics.
